Why You Should Buy This Game

MLB 06 The Show was great in its own way but, 07 blows it out of the water. And every other baseball game for that matter. In 06 you started your career by creating your player and picking a team and you could sim to your next at bat. Well 07 has all that and more when you create your player your that player say that player plays second base you are right behind him playing second. Don't get me wrong you don't stay behind him all game just when a ball is going to be hit your way. You don't have to bat for the whole team just for your self you can if you want to though. The graphics are unbeleiveable and game play is awesome. With the sixaxis Controller for ps3 you can move in a certain direction for a certain slide and up to jump up and catch a ball or to rob a home run and you can move it down to dive and catch the ball. Overall this baseball game beats any other baseball game hands down. You start the season in spring training with the team you chose to play for. After spring training the team decides if you stay in the bigs or get sent down to AA or AAA ball. If you do you work you way back up through play and training. I've just finished my first season on the game and I am sure there will be many more to come.

MLB 07 The Show makes the transition to next-gen with a suite of advanced features in its race to become MVP of 2007's baseball crop. The all-new Road to The Show mode enables gamers to play both offense and defense from the created player's perspective. Providing an even more realistic experience from the mound, the all-new New Pitch Command System (PCS) delivers comprehensive strategy to pitch selection, as a pitcher's "pitch comfort" will be predetermined based on a best to worst pitch scenario. It is up the gamer to decide if he/she should try to "work on a pitch" or just go with what is working. Additionally, with the Adaptive Pitching Intelligence (API) feature, catchers will call the game based on the individual strengths and weaknesses of each pitcher as well as analyze tendencies of batters. Gamers will now have the ability to either trust the pitches called by the catcher or shake them off. MLB 07 The Show also delivers a robust online feature set, including Online League Play, which offers the ability to set up customizable leagues with up to 30 teams, complete with full stat tracking, point benefits and rewards.
Easily the best baseball franchise!

If you are a huge baseball fan, I encourage you to buy a ps3, psp or ps2 if you don't already have one (that's how good this game is). If you have a choice, buy the ps3 version. The graphics in 1080p are amazing! The gameplay is a lot better compared to the ps2 version (the ps2 version has horrible graphics and way too many glitches; ex. the dreaded no coaches glitch). The gameplay in MLB 2k7 or 2k8 cannot compare to MLB 07 or 08 the show. Pitch guessing in the show is way better compared to Batter's Eye in 2k (I average at least 18 correctly guessed pitches a game in the show versus 1-2 in 2k) . The difficulty in the show is just right compared to the frusteratingly hard 2k. I would only recommend 2k7 over 07 the show if you are a pro baseball player that can easily read pitch location and speed. Otherwise, MLB 07 the Show is a MUST BUY!
