How to keep all Orbs and Stars

This hint will come in very handy on the Hard or Dante Must Die dificulty settings.EVERY time you kill ANYTHING,Save the game.EVERY time you find a vitality or devil star,Save the game.Any time you gain anything,save the game no matter what part of the level you are on.That way if Dante gets killed everything you gained will still be on your options menu at the last save point.The only time you will run into a problem is if you have alot of Yellow Orbs.If you are trying to beat a level boss DO NOT save the game because you will lose everything that you used.Don,t save on the level bosses so that if Dante dies you will get everything back at restart.If you use any Yellow orbs or vitality or Devil stars and then save the game,everything that you used will be lost.If you have a few yellow orbs DO NOT save after you use the first yellow orb.I hope this helps .This hint also works with Devil May Cry 2 and 3.

If this is your first time through the game this hint will not help much.If you are having problems killing the Phantom this will help.When he raises his tail,you CAN jump on his back and attack from there,but it is not vital.Try this,use Ifrit,the flame gloves and fill up your Devil Trigger gage all the way.When your ready,hit the devil trigger and just go strait for the head.Don,t use normal kicks and punches,use the special attack.Hit the aim button,(R1) ,aim the joystick at his head and push the attack button.Dante will punch and kick so fast that his hands and feet are a blur.Just stay on the head.DO NOT jump on it,just walk up to it.Once the battle begins,it will be over in about 60 seconds,if that.When your Devil Trigger drains just back off ,refill it and attack again.Using this attack will drain your Devil Trigger FAST so stock up on Devil Stars before the fight.I hope this helps.I hope this helps.If anyone needs help on any level boss feel free to contact me.

The Best way to kill the Phantom on your first time through the game is to play on the Easy dificulty setting first.When you obtain The Pride Of Lion the Phantom will appear.The Best way to kill him your first time through is to use Ebony and Ivory(Guns).On your first game Dantes powers are very weak so stay as far from the Phantom as you can.Keep pressing the aim button (R1) the whole time and keep firing your guns.Holding down R1 will allow you to perform evasive moves very quickly which is vital to your survival.When your Devil trigger is full,hit the button (L1) and slash at his head or jump on his back and use any gun or sword that you choose.Just keep firing your guns and stay away from his attacks.This takes a little time but it works.I hope this helps.If anyone needs help on any level boss feel free to contact me.
