If you're after stat boosting on the cheap, then head over to survival mode and use DMX as soon as he's available. He has the most insane strength to speed ratio. Just be sure to use his finishing move twice in one bout and you'll receive a lot of cash per fight.

To unlock D-mob at the character select screen press and hold L1+L2+R1+R2+ and quickly press square (X2) traingle, square(X2).
To unlock DMX press and hold LI,L2,R1,R2, O+X+O
To unlock Ludacris press and hold L1,L2,R1,R2, + O (X3)+ square +triangle.
