A fun game with merit

"Beyond Good & Evil" is a platformer game which follows the exploits of Jade (an investigative photographer) and her sidekick Pey'j (a humorous pig mechanic and Jade's guardian) as they set out to expose government corruption on the planet Hillys. As a platformer the game gives the player standard play (collect orbs, unlock secrets, learn new moves, etc) and does not contain anything which would set the platforming genre on top of the most innovative gameplay.
However, the game is still fun to play despite this minor flaw. One particular feature I enjoyed were the stealth based missions where Jade had to infiltrate the enemies' stronghold and snap incriminating photos. Pey'j and other characters added nice humor into the mix and the gameplay was smooth and action oriented as well. My goddaughter thoroughly enjoys the game so it gets high marks in the kid rating department also.
As for my overall opinion, the game is a great buy. It's not a must have title, but it certainly has merit and is worth owning if you enjoy platforming games.
