Sadly, this is probably the least interesting Zelda title released for a Nintendo console.
It is still golden.
Nintendo makes main characters talk too much these days, and all and all, everything seemed far too precious, too charming, to really grab any emotion from the viewer, but Minish Cap continues the rich tradition of the franchise with well-conceived items and puzzles based on items.
Portable extension of Windwaker

A zelda game is a zelda game. The same ideas transfer from one title to the next: heart containers, items, puzzles, action, etc.
I liked this game, actually I enjoyed it a lot! I caved in a few times and needed help online, but was able to solve most of the puzzles.
There are some direct comparisons with Wind Waker such as the fusions of the tokens. You collect these and take them to the fusion guy. This is similar to the photos in Windwaker with the miniatures.
The hat concept was good, and the story was good. I only wish that it was slightly longer.
A+, highly recommended.
A must for Zelda lovers

I have to say that I really enjoyed this Zelda game. Yeah, it is cutesy in a lot of ways and it isn't all that different from other Zelda games, but it is still a lot of fun. If you are a Zelda fan, you must add this to your collection.
The cap is an interesting twist, and the token fusion is a somewhat new element to the series. Other than that, Minish Cap is your basic Zelda game--you have a sword and a shield and you come across the same familiar enemies, and you have to collect heart pieces as well as other items to help you on your quest.
Will this be your absolute favorite Zelda game? I doubt it...there really isn't anything that special about it to make it stick out as a favorite, in my opinion. But it is a lot of fun, so it is definitely worth playing.
Great Game

I played it all the way through in one solid weekend of nothing but, when it first came out. A very fun, easy to play game.

Minish cap is just another GREAT Zelda game with obviously awesome graphics and improved gameplay. I would absolutely definitely recommend this game to Zelda fans, but those who don't like the puzzle solving, secret unlocking, figurine collecting, real-time monster bashing type of games should reconsider before buying.
