Chickorita is the best starter to choose because you won't get more fire pokemon for a long time.

when you reicive a master ball save it till you met up with eragon the big red pokemon (dont know if i spelled his him right but) unless you dont have one you still can catch him. go up to him save than use a fire pokemon to damage him a tad than have a pokemon use sleepowder or something to miss up his stat than attack him till his health is low make sure you have a lot of ulatra ball like at least 40 and just keep trowing them you will catch him like this if not and you run out than shut the game off and restart with more ulatra balls than before. good luck

Save your master ball till you see lotos/loteos
Random Tidbits
Hint by KurosakisTwin on June 04, 2007 | report this hint
Other than the fact that Cheat spelled Latias and Latios wrong....he is quite right. Save your master ball for a rarer pokemon such as them. On the other hand, I have discovered that while playing it IS possible to catch Groudon, Kyogre (which applies to Sapphire), and Rayquaza with ultra balls. So, yes, indeed, save your master ball. Unless you don't want Latias or Latios....
BlackGlasses
Hint by DarkClockZ2 on September 02, 2007 | report this hint
To get the BlackGlasses go into the cave were it's blocked by rocks were the guy and the girl are trying to get to each other.Enter that cave from the Verdanturf Side and go to the outing to the far left and talk to the guy, saying he needs to find his glasses.Go around that spot until you find the BlackGlasses(Hidden). He notices there not his so you get to keep them.
