Good game

This is another instalment in the pokemon series. The story takes part in Sinnoh a new pokemon land mass. The graphics are way better then before and the pokemon contests are alot more interactive. The battles are mostly the same with the add on of lots of new pokemon. Overall this game is a great way to spend an afternoon over.

I mean I beat it 5 days. emraled Took me 3 months. so i was amused. It is also compatable with a new Pokemon game coming out for the Wii. Pokemon battle revalution i think. But I totaly sugjest this title for yong kids or kids who have no lives! anyway i give this game a thumbs up!!
Very Good Game

Well first off, let me say its pokemon. this means that if you are going to be playing it online there are gonna be winey kids which only use overpowered pokemon so don't say that I havent warned you.
Anway, Despite living in the UK and importing Jappenese Diamond I simply couldnt wait for the European release so I imported myself a American Pearl. I was very impressed with the graphics and the size of Sinnoh as it is amazingley big. Even after the E4 there is a lot of stuff to do. There are quite a few new pokemon which in my opinion feal like a trip back to jhoto, I really disliked the 3rd Generatio ngames as it seemed to me that they hadnt made any new 'fresh' pokemon but that they were all dull and edited versions of old pokeom, in Diamond and Pearl this is not the case. There are new evolutions for some old favourites and new pokemon all together which really does add a new flavour to the world of pokemon. There are also new evolution metods such as a pokemon must know a certain move in order to evolve or gain a level at a certain place.
There are also many new features added which include the use of the bottom screen as a Poketech, this is a watch wich you strap on your wrist and has many differant functions which you collect during your travels. Some examples of these include a watch for keeping the time, a step counter and note pad. There is also the addition of the underground which lets you dig for fossils of pokemon and many other things including Evolution stones and Heart Scales. One of the most anticipated features however is trading and battleing over the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. If you have a Wi-Fi USB adaptor or a compatible router than you can connect your game up wirelessley and have battles with people over the internet! You must exchange friend codes to do this but if you go to www.serebii.net or any other good pokemon forums then chances are you will be able to find someone to battle.
All in all this an amazing game which will keep you busy weather you are a hardcore gamer or just someone who does a few hours gaming a week, this is the game for you!
chatot chatter
Reviewed by Nerd09 on June 27, 2007 | report this review
If you do a bit of exploring and talking to people, you will eventually encounter someone who says that Chatot can learn human words. Once you obtain one (after trading with a girl in an early town) and get it to about level 20, it will learn the move Chatter. As they said, it can indeed learn human words. Once it learns Chatter, go to your Pokemon menu and select "Chatot". It will show Chatter along with summary, switch, and etc. From here, press A and record what you want to say in the DS mic. Not only will Chatot say what you said whenever you use the move Chatter, but it will become its cry. Note: This is not permanent, so you can change its Chatter as often as desired. Also, the speech will be slightly distorted so it will not sound exactly as you said it. The recorded sound lasts for only one day, so you will have to re-record it.
To get free Master Balls
Reviewed by Nerd09 on June 27, 2007 | report this review
go to Floroma City. Go to the house next to the Pokecenter. Save the game before you talk to a man on a laptop. Talk to him and bring him the Pokemon before 1 a.m. If you bring him the Pokemon he will give you any Pokeball. If you did not get a Master Ball, turn off the game and try again.
More of the same...and I love the same

In my humble opinion:
Good
The Pokétch
Having access to such handy information like the location of all the ripe berries you've planted, the remaining HP of your Pokémon, the time of day, the status of the Daycare, and so many other things, all in one convenient location, is clearly a worthy boon.
The new physical/special split
This is the biggest thing that's happened to battling since special defense broke up with special attack. All those poor Pokémon with high attack but a special STAB type or vice versa, like Kingler and Feraligatr and Gengar and so on and so forth, are very happy about this. And it didn't make much sense that Dragon Claw was special while Shadow Ball was physical. Hurrah for fixing a mistake that never should have existed!
Wi-fi
In-game battling and trading have moved online! A giant leap for Pokémon! This is easily the biggest and best change of them all, because it adds so much functionality. The GTS makes getting difficult Pokémon to get, like the starters you didn't pick, or Pokémon exclusive to the other game, a cinch to obtain. Online trading takes a lot of the headache out of completing your Pokédex. And as for battling over the internet, I shouldn't need to explain why that's a good thing.
The Choice Specs
It wasn't fair having just a physical version of this item, and I'm glad the wrong has been righted.
Backwards compatibility
It's really great being able to trade in pokes from the previous generation. I really like that functionality. The older games always seem to feel obsolete when you leave them behind for the new ones. So this is a good feature.
Having day and night
This feature was sorely missed by many when it departed after GSC. It's good to have it back. Plus, they made it more accurate than simply morning/day/night, with stuff like evening and all that.
The Pokéradar
The Pokéradar was an elegant and creative way of letting players catch Pokémon from previous gens without having to transfer them from R/S/E/FR/LG. "Chaining" is an odd idea, but okay.
Bad
Super contests
Take the fairly interesting and fun contests from Ruby and Sapphire. Add an idiotic dress-up competition. Force players to go out of the way to obtain accessories for it or lose. Then put in an even more idiotic dance competition. Finally, take the interesting system of appeals and jams and move combos in Ruby and Sapphire and replace it with a three-judge system based almost entirely on luck, without any combos and without any jam. Oh, and while you're at it, take out Pokéblocks and insert a boring minigame that feels like a dumb excuse to "innovate" with the touch screen. You'll end up with the drab, uninteresting, and altogether lame Super Contests that makes the relevant trainer star feel like a chore.
No "down" button on the Poketch
If you want to go to Poketch app #5, and you accidentally press the button to change apps one extra time, you can't just hit down and go back to #5. You have to go a

I have nothing to say but BUY THIS!
Ugh!
This game is a low class pre-madonna of Pokemon games. I hope they just keep to the 2D effects. The "3D" graphics in this are terrible. Leveling up in this game is very easy. The only good thing is the Wi-Fi. It is amazing what people can do link free now. But I do recommend this game only because of the Wi-Fi feature.
