How to get spirittomb!
Hint by shadowduke1 on May 15, 2007 | report this hint
To get the spirit tomb you need to first talk to 32 people underground or having another game and going under groud over and over again. Then you need to get an odd keystone by going to twinleaf town (where you first started out at) and swim in the small pond and search one of the trees on the left to eventually find an odd keystone next go to solaceon town (as i call it "cowboy town") and go south until you find the hallowed tower on Route 209. then you can just click on it to put the odd keystone in it then you will battle spirittomb which is level 25. Thanks for reading and hope it helps.
Burmy
Hint by hardcore28 on May 18, 2007 | report this hint
Are you having trouble catching the wild pokemon, Burmy? Well to start it off, you may only get one chance to catch it since it is a rare pokemon. I used this tactic to catch it but there may be other ways. I first got honey from the honey man in floaroma meadows [I think]. Then I went to the bridge between floaroma town and valley windworks. I then crossed the bridge and the first tree I passed on the left, I slathered it with honey. After a while right before going into eterna forest, I went back to the tree with my pokemon all getting really strong [level 18 on all of them at the point]. The tree was shaking and when I pressed A at the tree, I got a Burmy wanting a battle. I battled it and caught it so theres 1 way to catch a Burmy.
Catching Pokemon
Hint by hardcore28 on May 18, 2007 | report this hint
There are plenty of ways to catch a pokemon.
1. Throw a pokeball at the pokemon when you have weakened it just right. You can also use the premier ball as well as all other special pokeballs.
But did you think there were ways to catch it easily with a pokeball? Well here are some ways!
1. Say gotcha into the ds microphone when you throw the pokeball. This doubles the success rate.
2. Use a special ball like the premier ball or the great ball.
3. This way is pretty much the best way for me and maybe you people. LISTEN UP
First battle a pokemon and get its hp into the yellow or red. If you get it into the yellow, try to get it real low into the yellow, not when it just turned into yellow.
Then switch to another pokemon that has a special move like budew's stun spore and zubat's supersonic. These moves will paralyze and confuse the opponents. You can also do other moves like freezing opponents or making them sleep.
Then throw a pokeball. The wild pokemon should be paralyzed in budew's case. This actually triples the success rate in capturing the pokemon in many cases but some of the more tougher ones may break out.
Thats all I got now for this game.

Catching Shiny pokemon
Hint by Sun's Dusk on June 16, 2007 | report this hint
Ok guys here's a Shiny Guide from me. A Shiny Hunter.
What are Shiny pokemon?
They are Pokemon are alternate color and are extremely rare to find.
How do I find Shiny pokemon?
Simple you don't catching Shinys are completely random unless you decide to Soft Reset or Chain for Shinies which also takes time.
How do I Soft Reset?
To save in-front of Target then... example like Heatran or Groudon.etc
On the GBA and SP you Soft reset by pressing A+B and START+SELECT.
On the DS however you Soft Reset by Pressing L+R and START+SELECT.
L=Left Trigger
R=right Trigger
How Do I Chain for Shiny Pokemon?
click link to find out.
http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/foru...17&postcount=3
Here are some Facts and Tips
-There is a 1/8192 chance of finding a Shiny this nevers changes at all even when breeding SRing.
-Always have Pokeballs with you at all times atleast 30 in stock or less typically doesn't matter what kind of ball unless the shiny is rare or a legendary in that case use Ultra balls IF you don't wanna use your Masterball.
you can determine whether its Shiny or not by looking at its color but for harder to identify shinys like Garchomp simply look to the right you should see a Star on the side of the pokemon sprite.
Also when the pokemon you encounter throws out a blue ring of stars and glitters yup you found a Shiny.
for GBA users the pokemon will release Yellow stars that shoot like a shooting star.

Hint - Pokemon Mansion
In Route 212, there is a Mansion where a few people live. Out back there is a patch of grass which is predominantly inhabited by Roselia, Mukubird, Pichu, Pikachu and Korotokku. However if you talk to the owner in the room to the right, you can activate something else.
Every day if you talk to him, he'll walk out. Go back in and he'll be there and tell you of a Pokémon that is inhabiting the place today. Sometimes its a Rare Shinou Dex Pokémon, others its a Non-Shinou Dex Pokémon so be alert. They are however there all day so you can go back. Their level averages at Lv. 16 to Lv. 19 so bring a Pokémon of that level. You have up to two of these Pokémon at once, they have a low encounter rate in the Mansion and the two Pokémon are the one allocated Today and Yesterday.
Hint - Cresselia
First, go to Canalave City (Cresselia is in both Diamond and pearl versions). Look for the boy in Sailor Eldritch's house. Talk to the boy in bed and he will be saying something in his sleep, something about Darkrai.
Talk to the mother next to the boy in bed. Next go outside of the house and talk to the sailor next to the ship that takes you to Iron Island. He will say something about a Crecent Wing. Then he takes you to an island. On the island, there should be a clearing, go into it. Then you should see a pink-yellow pokemon.
Talk to it, and it will appear on your screen and will be added to your pokedex. then it will disappear. Its kindda like catching Mesprit.
If you did not get the pokemon leauge or get all the pokemon in the Shinoh Pokedex, you cannot catch Cresselia. Now if you did not get the pokefinder application, it will be much more difficult to catch Cresselia.
This is how you get the app, you have to go to the Poketech company in Jublife City, talk to theman next to the desk on the FIRST FLOOR, He gives you like 6 or 7 apps, the pokefinder app is the second or third one he gives you, YOU CAN GET THEM ALL IN THE SAME DAY! Now, good luck catching Cresselia, oh and one more thing, i think altering between route 205 and the Valley Windworks isthe best way to use. And you should stock up on MANY quickballs. Happy hunting!

Hint - GBA Unlockable Pokemon
When you have different GBA Cartridges in your GBA Slot (FireRed, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) you can catch wild Pokémon in different locations, relevant to the GBA game you have inserted. You can get Pokémon like Solrock (Ruby), Lotad (Sapphire), Weedle (FireRed), Caterpie (LeafGreen) and Gligar (Emerald) this way.
Hint - Mining Clue
When you get the explorer kit from the old man in Eterna city (the house beside the pokemon center) use it and go underground. On your upper DS screen there are yellow glowing dots flashing on and off. Go up to one on the upper screen and look at the bottom screen. Click on your bottom screen to search for the glowing dot. When you find a glowing dot (only in walls) go up to it and click A. Then you will be in the digging screen, And use the hammer or pick axe. When you dig you will see 4 layers:
-A rock
-A dark brown spot
-A lighter brown spot
the wall (which is un brake-able)
when you see a light brown layer with a crack in it, look carefully through that crack. If it has a white spot ignore it (wall). If the spot has a different color click the spot because something is hidden there.
Hint - Drifloon
Earn all eight badges by beating the Pokemon League. Go to the valley Windworks afterwards on an in-game Friday. Drifloon will pop in and out when you search for on in the grass. Try to use a quick-ball to capture it since it will run away at the first chance it gets. You can also set your DS' internal clock to a Friday and re-attempt a failed capture.

Hint - Lots of Masterballs (or Other Items)
After you obtain the National Dex in Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, you can go to Pal Park, where you migrate Pokemon from a Gameboy game to your DS cartridge. So, clone a million masterballs or other items on Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, or Emerald, give them to pokemon, migrate the pokemon, and viola, millions of that item on Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.
Hint - Pastoria Berries
Upon Entering Pastoria City from Route 212, enter the first house you see. The woman sitting at the table inside will give you one of the following 17 berries:
Babiri Berry
Charti Berry
Chilan Berry
Chople Berry
Coba Berry
Colbur Berry
Haban Berry
Kasib Berry
Kebia Berry
Occa Berry
Passho Berry
Payapa Berry
Rindo Berry
Shuca Berry
Tanga Berry
Wacan Berry
Yache Berry
Hint - Eevee At the Pokemon Mansion
First you must get your national pokedex by spotting every pokemon in the Sinnoh region. Afterwards head to Pro.Rowan and the rest will be simple from there.
After getting your national pokedex, head to the pokemon mansion. Instead of going in the trophy garden, talk to the owner of the the trophy garden. He will ask you two questions and you must answer yes to both questions. Every morning when you talk to him he will ask you the same two questions, and after you answer his questions, he will tell you what pokemon he saw in his garden that morning. Some of the pokemon are: marill, meowth, cleffairy, and eevee.
Keep going to him everyday until he say that he saw some Eevees in his garden this morning. When he does, then you go in the garden and you will find your eevee. It may take you a minute to find the first one but you will be able to catch a few.

Hint - Spiritomb
To get Spiritomb, go to Solaceon Town and go downwards until you see a well-type looking thing. That is the Hallowed Tower, when you press 'A' on it, it will say:
It's the Hallowed Tower.
It appears to have been built
many years ago.
If it asks you to put in an 'Odd Keystone,' say yes. If you already have done so, go down underground with a friend, and have him/her go into his/her secret base and keep coming out and greet you.
Do this 32 times, go back up to the Hallowed Tower, and you will find Spiritomb. It is level 25, and you DO NOT have to see Spiritomb from the Champion Cynthia, I know becuase I did it. You can also do this with Odd Keystones more than once if your friends give you more. I only know of 2. The one by Hearthome City, there's a Karate guy to the left, beat him and talk to him, and the one below.
Already sold your Odd Keystone? No worries, there's another one. Fly to TwinLeaf Town, go down to the water, surf until you get to the middle, then go all the way left and press 'A' on the crack in between trees. If you're having trouble finding it, use your item radar PokeApp which is PokeApp #7.
Hint - Legendary Pokemon Dialga
You will need Surf, Rock smash, and Rock climb. I suggest you keep a master ball for Dialga (you can clone it using the GBA Pokemon clone trick).
Go to Mt. Coronet, left from Hearthome city. Follow a path until you find a way out of the cave. But don't go threw it, go up and you will find a place where you can use Surf, go past it and go on land. Use rock climb on the wall, go up the stairs and follow the path to a door that leads to more stairs. Go until find a door that leads outside and move forward until you see a place where you can use rock climb just once.
Go left through the grass and go in the cave. Follow the path and you will be at spear pillar. Don't go up by the three people because they are the Team Galactics' generals. Save your game. When you beat them you will have a chance to catch Dialga

The Ultimate Pokémon: Rattata?!
Hint by tpofofn on July 06, 2007 | report this hint
It's true, the ultimate Pokémon is Rattata. I've had my level 1 Rattata take down Mewtwos and Palkias before. Nobody sees it coming! Here's what you do: catch two Raticates in the Battle Zone, a male and a female. They should both know Endeavor. Then take them to the Move Maniac in Pastoria City. Use two Heart Scales (obtained in the Underground or attached to wild Luvdisc) to teach each of your raticates Quick Attack. Then put them both in the Daycare together. The egg you get will be a Rattata, level 1, with Endeavor and Quick Attack and two irrelevant attacks. Now you need a Focus Sash, which you can obtain from the man in the house near Pal Park, or by buying them at the Battle Tower for 48 BP. Attach the Focus Sash to Rattata. Now battle one of your friends with Rattata up front. Tell your Rattata to use Endeavor. His Pokémon will go first because yours has 6 speed. The attack would KO you, but because of your Focus Sash, it leaves you at 1 HP instead. Then you'll use Endeavor, which brings theirs to the same amount. While they gawk in amazement and try to finish you off, surprise them with Quick Attack! This time you go first, and it'll do 1 damage, which conveniently is their exact HP. Now laugh at them as their level 100 just got taken down by a baby Rattata.

After defeating the Pokemon League, Go to the old Chateau at night. Let me emphasize once again; AT NIGHT! Look through it until you find the room with the flickering television. You will get a message saying that there is a Pokemon inside the television. When asked if you want to thump the TV, say yes. A level 15 Rotom, ghost and electric type will appear. Mine had the ability Levitate.
When I went into the old Chateau's kitchen, I saw a Butler walk away, but no matter how hard I tried, I never saw him again. Has anyone else had this strange phenomena happen to them? I'm not sure what happened, but the game wouldn't let me move until he walked completely off screen, and I know I wasn't seeing things.
Drifloon
Once you've cleared team galactic out of Valley windworks, every friday on the game, you will get a chance to capture the balloon Pokemon, Drifloon, right outside of the entrance. It's ghost and flying type, and evolves into Drifblim.
Spiritomb
If you've got an odd keystone, slap that sucker into the Hallowed tower. Go underground with a friend, stand inside of your base, and have a friend run in, talk to you, and run out thirty two times. After this, you will be able to press A in front of the hallowed tower and you will be attacked by a level twenty-five Spiritomb, ghost and dark type, meaning it has no weaknesses. Good luck with these tips, and happy hunting!

You will need Rock Climb, Surf, and Strength to capture Dialga/Palkia. Start out with Fighting or Ground type moves; this will cause twice the damage and reduce its HP a lot. Then, use Water, Normal, Electric, or Flying type moves which only do half the damage. Use this technique to get its HP to the red, then throw Pokeballs at it.
You will encounter a Dialga/Palkia at some point in the game (you can find one at Spear Pillar). If you fail to catch him the first time, visit Sandgem Town. You will find Lucas standing in front of the Pokemon Lab. Check with him regularly, and he will tell you when Dialga/Palkia has reappeared.

I battled it and caught it so theres 1 way to catch a Burmy.
burmy
to get burmy isnt all that hard get honey from the numerous places that you can get it(floraoma is the eaisest way) than slather a tree with it go back and if its shaking save your game. It might not be burmy the frist time but keep trying and eventually you will get one. the same thing goes if you are trying to catch a female combee(to get vespiqueen)

Trophy Garden PokemonCurrent
Hint by blackdiamond on February 01, 2008 | report this hint
To be able to catch these Pokemon you must first have the National Pokedex. When you have it go to the Pokemon Mansion and 'Save' the game. Then talk to the owner of the mansion and answer 'Yes' to all his questions and he will tell you that he saw new Pokemon in the Trophy Garden (below is a list of ALL the Pokemon that can be caught there). When the owner of the mansion mentions a Pokemon you don't want keep switching off the power to your game until he mentions a Pokemon you're after then 'Save' the game and run into the Trophy Garden and catch it.

How to Catch Mesprit and Cressilia
Hint by lander 77 on March 28, 2008 | report this hint
First catch a Golbat that knows Mean Look and Hypnosis or catch a Wobuffet or Wyanutt that has the ability Shadow Tag which prevents the pokemon from escaping, but they are hard to find .Use the Poketch Marking Map to find Cresselia and Mesprit. As soon as you find either one of them(I would focus on Mesprit first),use Mean Look on Mesprit, then use Hypnosis on Mesprit, then start weakening Mesprit with a few attacks, not ones that can kill it.Then I suggest using a few Timer Balls,Great Balls,Ultra balls, and even Quick Balls. Then use the same trick on Cresselia.
How to get Giratina
Hint by lander 77 on April 02, 2008 | report this hint
Giratina is a ghost/dragon type pokemon. To obtain him first beat the elite four and obtain the national dex. Then go south of Veilstone City and you will see a new path that will appear called Spring Path.Once you enter Turnback Cave read the writing that you see as you enter the cave.It will give you a hint on how to find Giratina's room. The first thing you have to do is pass through each room and find three pillars. Each pillar will show you two numbers.the number on top shows you the number of pillars you visited, the bottom number shows you the rooms visited. If you read the writing you will see that it says that if 30 is surpassed meaning if you visited 30 rooms you will end up at the cave entrance.Once you find Giratina it will be at lv. 70 so use Dusk,Timer, and Ultra balls on it.
