Why Play Chess? Compare DS vs GBA

Learning to play chess challenges the player to think ahead and look behind. Chess allows you to plot your fate or that of the opponent. Many don't like chess or are intimitated by it.

Chessmaster teaches you the art of chess without seeming like classwork. I tried several chess software programs which were good but it is fun being able to play this on the DS. Now I'm able to get rid of the entire handheld collection aquired over the years, yet still play chess without losing face.

Those who play stategy games would benefit from learning to play chess. This is a great way to learn.

I rated this 4 stars because I notice the instructor comments are the same no matter what...encouraging. But you DO learn to play chess and understand people better because mastering chess depends on psyching out the opponent and plotting ahead.

Try it!
